While the transceiver is a compact unit with a height of only 111 pm. The transceiver has been tested for dust protection and water resistance to IP54 equivalent and 11 MILSTD-810 environmental test categories.

Simple operation for instant communication

The IC-F3002 series is so easy to use that no special training is required. The few knobs and buttons are oversized for easy operation and designed to provide a non-slip, positive action, even when wearing gloves.

Longer operating time

With a new IC-F3002 series high-efficiency FET, it reduces current consumption and provides up to 31 hours* of operation with the supplied BP-299, 3150 mAh battery (typical).

VOX capability for hands-free operation

Optional OPC-2004LA compatible headsets can be used with the transceiver. Also, VOX gain and VOX delay time are adjustable.
