18-inch closed type radar with MotionScope τεχνο technology

Closed type radar, 18 inches, 40W
MotionScope τεχνο technology uses the Doppler effect to detect and mark targets moving towards you or moving away with different colors to help avoid collisions, find flocks of birds and record the weather
Pulse extension technology provides you with high resolution while maximizing energy for better target detection and recognition.
The target size function allows you to adjust the size of objects on the radar screen.
Detection range from 20 feet to 48 nautical miles.

The Garmin GMR Fantom 18 18-inch solid-state 40 W solid-state radar features MotionScope τεχνο technology, which uses the Doppler effect to detect and detect moving targets and help you avoid potential collisions. It is fully compatible with Garmin plotters.

High power 40W radar with 5.2 degree beam

You have a very close and far range to detect targets from 20 feet to 48 nautical miles, even in fog or rain. The horizontal beam of 5.2 degrees gives you a high resolution image and high antenna coverage to distinguish targets at a distance. The result is that this radar gives you a clear, comprehensive picture of the coastline, other boats and the upcoming weather, directly on your Garmin plotter. You get consistent goal positions, excellent goal segregation and reliable operation. 8-bit true color illustration helps you separate large targets from small ones and improves target separation. Radar data overlaps maps (autopilot or direction sensor recommended). Low power consumption, immediate activation and no delay for warm-up like magnetron radar. Rotation speed is set to 24 rpm for reduced power consumption or 48 rpm for fast screen updates.

Doppler MotionScope technology

GMR Fantom radars use the Doppler effect to detect and detect moving targets to help you avoid potential collisions, find flocks of birds, and record weather information. The Doppler effect is the frequency shift in the radar signal due to the relative motion of the target. This allows you to instantly detect moving targets to or from you. MotionScope. Detects moving targets with different colors on your radar screen so you can navigate around other boats or in bad weather, or to fishing grounds where birds feed on their surface.

Target size
Allows you to adjust the size of objects on the radar screen.
Auto Bird Gain
Fishermen know that when you find birds on the surface of the water, you will also find fish. To further enhance your fishing experience, use Auto Bird Gain, which helps you locate flocks of birds on the surface of the water where fish are most likely to be found.

Echo Trails
A historical path remains on your screen to help you quickly and easily detect moving targets and collision threats. The tracks are corrected according to the direction of your boat when the autopilot or a direction sensor is connected to your Garmin network.

Double range
The radar antenna has the ability to give you a dual image on your plotter, side by side, with independent range settings and manipulations for near and far projection.

Dual radar support

Allows each display unit on board to select data from one of two different radar sources.
Dynamic Auto Gain
The Dynamic Auto Gain function automatically adapts to your environment for optimal performance in all conditions.

Dynamic Sea Filter
Dynamic Sea Filter automatically adjusts coverage to changes in sea conditions with user options for low, medium or high filtering.

Radar overlay
Overlaps the image on the radar on the map page in the plotter. An autopilot or direction sensor is recommended for best results.
The MARPA function monitors up to 10 selected targets and helps you monitor other vessels to avoid a collision.

Set the safety zone and receive a notification when an item enters this zone.
The variable VRM range indicators and EBL electronic sight lines allow you to quickly measure distance and sight on other boats and on land.
