Description
ECCM – COMPLETE COMMUNICATION
– Basic built-in features include data modem and satellite position receiver.
– TRANSEC: Frequency Hopping (FFH) for stealth transmissions while avoiding frequency jamming.
– COMSEC: Secure Digital Voice (SDV) for a higher level of security to counter unwanted decryption.
– Encryption options, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and One-Time-Pad (OTP) encryption controlled by the end user, ensure complete and secret security of the shipment.
– All advanced features can be activated simultaneously for secure and reliable end-to-end communication.
BATTLENET, TACTICAL CHAT, FILE TRANSFER & BATTLEFIELD UPDATE
Basic TEXT features are included in all radios as standard. Advanced Tactical Chat, File Transfer, Frontline Battle Field Awareness E-Mail with external Tactical Terminal and PC applications are user options. LEGACY RADIO networks can be connected to the Cheetah3 Combat Net with the Tactical Terminal Sat-Com (ST1 and ST-4) for seamless and secure communications.
SHIPPING TIME
The advanced power and battery management system integrated into the design of the radio ensures a low standby power consumption of 300 mW, while the maximum power consumption at full power is limited to 90 W. The Li-Ion battery has a capacity of 13 Ah allowing up to 30 hours shipping depending on the features and configurations used.
The Cheetah’s internal battery charger will top up the installed battery if supplied from a 9-35V DC source. Satellite position data can be displayed in Latitude/Longitude, UTM or MGRS formats. This data can be received remotely by a radio in the field or received by initiating the radio operator.
ANTENNAS
Various wideband specific high gain antennas are available depending on the application and requirements.
HEADPHONES AND HEADPHONES
The radio interface can accommodate a wide variety of audio devices including but not limited to military grade headsets, passive and active noise reduction headsets, as well as VOX and Bone Transducer technology for hands-free operation.
REPEATERS AND RE-BRO
By connecting any 2 Satcom radios with the AUX cable, a regular repeater or relay can be configured with minimal menu intervention. Dedicated repeater racks include duplexer, bandpass filter, power supply and charger for medium to long term repeater deployment. Repeaters and re-bro systems using a
Cheetah and any legacy radio is possible using a cross patch box.
CONFIGURATION SOFTWARE APPLICATION (MISSION PLANNER)
The Configuration Software runs on Windows PCs, laptops or tablets, allowing users to configure radios with all network parameters such as Channels, Address Book, Instant Messaging, Calling, ALE network and Encryption.
KEY GENERATOR SOFTWARE APPLICATION
Key-Generator is built into the configuration software and allows the user to generate and manage their own secure AES128, 256 and OTP encryption keys for COMSEC and TRANSEC operations
