The Tron 40AIS EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon – Class I) complies with the mandatory International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulation (as of July 2022) and the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) regulation.
The Tron 40AIS EPIRB is approved according to MED, MER (UK), FCC and IC.
An EPIRB transmits your location in emergencies at sea
Integrated is an infrared light emitting diode (IR LED). This IR LED allows the use of night vision, which better assists SAR operations carried out at night or in the dark.
The Tron 40AIS can be used with the Galileo Backlink System, Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System (operational since January 2020).
This EPIRB has been tested for functional and performance requirements according to the international standard IEC 61097-2 Ed.4 (April 2021)
