This combination has been so successful in providing fast-turnaround parts that a number of UK military vehicle programme bidders have engaged Aish to manufacture, modify and rebuild prototype vehicle parts, as they have refined their bids in time for the ‘Tests of Truth’ competitions.
Our work on military vehicle parts is not limited to prototypes, however. We have proven cost-effective in delivering production builds, for example the British Army’s new Foxhound and Rummage patrol vehicles, and we continue to be a key supplier to the military vehicle industry for components such as:
Aish Technologies’ factory in Poole, which has a classified access and storage licence, has been continuously enhanced with new machine tools and facilities in recent years, maintaining Aish’s position as a world-class advanced manufacturing company. Welders are approved for mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and armour plate. CNC laser cutters and benders can handle thicknesses up to 25mm, and new 3-axis CNC machining centres can produce complex machined parts. Due to our long history of supplying military equipment, we are familiar with our customers’ quality expectations, reducing our customers’ subcontracting costs and eliminating programme risk. In addition, the same team of production engineers who interpret our own product designs for cost-effective manufacturing are available to produce and leverage our customers’ designs where required.
