GTAV – 112 MHz to 160 MHz
GTAU – 225 MHz to 400 MHz
The Leopard 1 is a compact, rugged and lightweight wideband military radio that offers uncompromising communication for tactical missions in the HF, VHF and UHF bands. Built-in receiver, modem and GPS receiver are built into the radio allowing for flexible operation. Advanced features such as automatic link establishment (ALE), frequency hopping and One-Time-Pad (OTP) encryption enable secure and reliable communication.
The Leopard 1 radio can be configured for mobile, portable applications, base stations and repeaters.
In portable configuration, it provides 2, 5, 30 Watts on HF, 18W on VHF-L and 10W on VHF-H and UHF.
When connected to another Leopard1 or Cheetah 3 radio it becomes the HF side of a re-bro or could be the VHF/UHF side of a repeater and can deliver up to rated power that at true height for very long coverage area up to 70+ km on VHF/UHF.
WHEN CONNECTED WITH SATCOM POWER AMPLIFIERS:
AFRACAL 2 Dual Multiband PA; HF is amplified to 125W, VHF/UHF is amplified to 100W.
AFRACAL 1 VU Dual-band PA; VHF/UHF boosted to 100W, HF in bypass mode.
AFRACAL 1 H, HF PA band, only HF amplified to 125W, VHF and UHF in bypass mode.
