The high-definition radar GMR 1224 xHD2, with a power of 12 kW and a 4-foot antenna, is designed for serious navigation of large boats or for fishing boats with limited space for open type radar. This is our most powerful 4-foot radar, which is capable of exceptional sensitivity and consistency in the display of targets by our other open 4-foot radar. If you want the best open space radar for a limited space, this combination of high power and small scanner makes it ideal for cruising and fishing outdoors, at night and in fog, with little or no visibility.
High power xHD2 radar with narrow beam 1.8 °
This 12 kW high-definition radar has the power to deliver over a wide range of up to 72 nautical miles, even in fog or rain. The narrow horizontal beam of 1.8 ° distinguishes well the targets at a distance. Gives you a clear view of the coastline, other boats and the weather on your Garmin plotter. You get consistent goal positions, excellent goal segregation and reliable operation. The 8-bit color image also helps you separate large targets from small ones and improves separation. It has rotation speeds at 24 and 48 rpm with a maximum range of 72 nautical miles.
Auto Bird Gain
Fishermen know that when you find birds on the surface of the water, you will also find fish. To further enhance your fishing experience, use Auto Bird Gain, which helps you spot flocks of birds on the surface of the water where fish are most likely to be found.
Echo Trails
A historical path remains on your screen to help you quickly and easily detect moving targets and collision threats.
Dual radar support
Allows each display unit on board to select data from one of two different radar sources.
Dynamic Auto Gain
Dynamic Auto Gain automatically adjusts coverage levels for optimal port settings, near the high seas or on the high seas.
Dynamic Sea Filter
The Dynamic Sea Filter function automatically adjusts the coverage for calm, moderate or rough seas.
Monitoring of MARPA objectives
The MARPA function monitors up to 10 selected targets and helps you monitor other vessels to avoid a collision.
Storage belt
Set the safety zone and receive a notification when an item enters this zone.
VRM & EBL
Variable VRM range indicators and EBL electronic sight lines allow you to quickly measure distance and sight on other boats and on land.
