ComNav 1001 Autopilot is designed to work on a wide variety of boats, from small yachts to huge work boats. For ships that already have a first class ship compass, this version comes with a magnetic sensor that attaches to your compass and supplies direction information to the pilot, thus eliminating the cost of installing and compensating for a flow compass.
The 1001 Autopilot can be used with most drive systems of any type and is especially useful when there is a need for retrofitting to an older system. Using one of the many gearboxes available (sold separately), the 1001 can be used with mechanical, hydraulic or steady-state (tubular) steering systems.
