Using the RS-AERO1A (Android) or RS-AERO1I (iOS) app, you can make flight plans on an Android/iOS device and import the plan to the IC-A25NE via Bluetooth. The following four functions are available: Create flight plan, set Direct-To NAV, display flight plan information, and display waypoint information.

In addition, you can freely edit (replace, delete, reorder) the stored recall channels.

A third-party Bluetooth® wireless headset provides convenient hands-free operation.
Smart battery with detailed battery status
The included BP-288 2350 mAh standard smart battery provides up to 10.5 hours* of runtime.
You can check the battery status on the battery status screen. It is very useful for optimal charging and maintaining battery health.

VOR Navigation Functions (for IC-A25NE)
The CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) is as detailed as a real VOR instrument and displays any deviation from your course.
OBS (Omni Bearing Selector) allows you to change course from your original flight plan.
The TO-FROM indicator shows the positional relationship between your aircraft and the track selected by OBS.
The ABSS (Automatic Bearing Set System) function enables you to set the current course as a new course in two simple steps.
Nearest station search function (for IC-A25NE)
The nearby station search feature helps you access nearby terrestrial stations. The function searches for nearby stations using station memories that have GPS location information.
To use the nearby station search function, the position data and frequencies of the earth stations must be programmed.
Built-in GPS receiver with simplified waypoint NAV (for IC-A25NE)
Simplified waypoint NAV guides you to a destination using current position information from GPS (also GLONASS and SBAS).
Waypoint NAV has two modes: Direct-To NAV and Flight Plan NAV. Up to 10 flight plans and 300 waypoints can be stored in the IC-A25NE.
